The Stitch Collective

The Stitch Collective is an intergenerational program where participants share and develop knitting and crochet skills across age groups. By combining traditional techniques with contemporary design, the program fosters connection, creativity, and the exchange of knowledge within a supportive studio environment.

From Yarn to Exhibition

Yes, your favourite piece of work will be framed and shown  at our exhibitions

The Yarn Library

The Yarn Library is a colourful, welcoming space filled with donated and shared yarns, textures, and inspiration for knitting and crochet projects. Designed to feel creative, relaxed, and community-driven, participants are encouraged to explore different colours and materials, learn new skills, and create at their own pace. Whether someone is picking up a crochet hook for the first time or returning to a much-loved hobby, the Yarn Library is all about connection, creativity, and the simple joy of making something by hand.

It's not just being a senior who can knit - it's about having fun & creating something that is modern & different & new!!

Functional & Unusual

Scrubbies for the kitchen sink or scrub away the dirt of the day in the shower

Homemade Tea Towels

Create, connect, and turn handmade pieces into real opportunities.

Sometimes the most unexpected combinations say the most about modern identity, resilience, and breaking stereotypes.

At The Stitch Collective, we believe creativity has no gender, no rules, and no “type” of person who belongs. If you can hold a pair of needles, you belong at the table.

AND YES YOU CAN KNIT A GUN!!!!
